Young Environmental Leaders Poster Contest

In these pandemic times, this contest will be 100% virtual and 100% impactful as we look for entries from youth that present solutions to an environmental problem that concerns them.

Rules and Eligibility Criteria:

1. Youth Ages 11- 18
2. Entries will only be accepted from invited schools and programs
3. Posters will present a solution to an environmental problem that concerns the participant.
4. Three cash prizes will be awarded: First Place - $500; Second Place - $350; Third Place - $150
5. Posters must be presented (and photographed) on a trifold not to exceed 30 by 50 inches. No other media will be accepted.
6. Posters will be judged in part for originality, creativity and quality.
7. No more than three photographs of poster will be accepted.
8. Each student must write and submit a personal mission statement describing their pledge and commitment as an environmental steward. The mission statement must be a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 1000 words. 
9. A liability and photo release form must accompany each entry.
10. Entries accepted only from February 15 through April 1, 2021.
11. Winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22, 2021
12. All entries must be submitted to info@nela501c3.org

Judging Criteria:
1. On time entry (February 15, 2021 through no later than 11:59 p.m. PST, April 1, 2021)
2. Follows all rules and guidelines​
3. Submits a complete and original personal mission statement
4. Presents viable solution(s) to a contemporary, current and timely environmental problem.
5. Poster displays originality, creativity and quality
